Radical Awareness
This week we are talking about awareness because I truly believe if you want to make changes, especially in your health, you need to be honest with yourself.
With awareness also comes acceptance. Acceptance of where you are right now. Not to point blame but to take responsibility. When we claim responsibility, we feel in control and that helps us guide our decisions in the future.
Can you accept radical responsibility over where you are right now? Can you put the power back in your own hands? Oftentimes, it’s easier to push blame. Trust me, I’ve been there. Some of it might even be true but it does nothing to help you reach your health goals.
While doing this, it’s important to give yourself grace and look at it through the lens of empathy, compassion and non-judgement. If you fall prey to any of those, you move backwards not forwards and that’s not what I want for you at all.
You are so innately powerful when you aren’t hiding behind blame. We must learn to accept where we are, be thankful for the awareness and acknowledge we are ready for a change.
I encourage you to journal about what health aspects you are ready to take responsibility for and change. Write it out. Write how you got to this place. Use language with compassion and feel gratitude for the knowledge.
When you put pen to paper something magical happens. You shift into another part of your mind and, oftentimes, are able to access more information.
Just remember, awareness with compassion will help you move closer to your health goals.
Comment below and let me know what came up for you, I’d love to hear so I can support you along this journey.
